I will start by helping you and your family create a Postpartum Support Plan that may include Breastfeeding Support, Parenting Support, Baby @ Home Organization plus many other customized options. My overall goal is to support and protect the physical, social and psychological needs of the entire family.

Breastfeeding Support

Though breastfeeding is a biologically natural process, it doesn't always come easy. It generally takes about 2-6 weeks for mom and baby to get the hang of it.  I recommend Breastfeeding Support for your first week with baby whether this is your first time or fourth. This support can begin in the hospital or your first day at home.

Support can include:

  • Successful latch techniques

  • Exclusive pumping

  • Formula feeding

  • Paced bottle-feeding

  • Care for breastfeeding complications

  • Mastitis care

Family & Parenting Support

Congratulations! You're the mom of a bouncing new baby... and a cranky, confused and jealous toddler, or maybe even a pre-teen. I can show you ways to smooth your little one's transition from only child to big brother or sister.

Support can include:

  • Sibling and new baby connection (activities, expectations, etc)

  • Family dynamics & changing roles

  • Everyone can help: friends, family, resources

  • Date night/couple power

  • New baby and pets

  • Community support (connection with public health department, Ontario Early Years Program, lactation consultants, etc)

Baby @ Home Organization

After giving birth, you are going to be in many levels of recovery, low on energy and sleep-deprived. You want to focus your energy on your new baby, not on a to-do list that might never get done, not to mention other family members that need attention as well. I can help.

Support can include:

  • Nursery set up

  • Big brother, big sister bedroom set up

  • Co-sleeping set up

  • Kitchen organization

  • Ease of accessible daily routine

  • Family meal planning & light meal prep

  • Assistance with grocery shopping, running errands

  • Consulting with contractors for small renovations or installations

Customized Options also available. Contact me to discuss.
